Ginger Berry Smoothie

Talk about a smoothie full of life and powerful nutrients! Perhaps we can call it a superfood smoothie?! The ingredients can’t get much more colorful – red from cherries, orange from oranges, green from collards, and blue from blueberries. Eating all the colors of the rainbow means you’re getting a variety of health-promoting, disease-fighting phytonutrients.  

Yield: about 7 cups

I N G R E D I E N T S

3 cups water

½ - 1 bunch collard greens

2½ cups fresh or frozen blueberries

1 cup fresh or frozen cherries, pitted

2 small oranges, peeled

1 two-inch piece fresh ginger

D I R E C T I O N S

Add all ingredients to a high-powered blender and blend until smooth. Serve immediately.
